The Keith Wightman Scholarship for Undergraduate at UCL University, UK 2011

The aim of the scholarship is to enable and encourage first year UCL students who show excellence in the sport of Golf to pursue their interest.
UCL normally offers one scholarship each session.

Eligibility Requirements

Eligible candidates will:
  • be a student from any country;
  • have successfully completed the first year of their undergraduate degree studies in any subject at UCL;
  • show an excellence in golf, and academic excellence.

Selection Criteria

The scholarship is awarded on the basis of academic excellence and golfing excellence (preference will be given to students with a handicap of 5 or less, and/or category 1 golfers). Financial need will also be taken into consideration.
The scholarship will be awarded by the Council upon the recommendation of a selection panel made up of UCL staff, and appropriate golf and sport officials at the UCL Union (e.g. President of the UCL Union Golf Society and the UCL Union Activities Officer).

Value: Benefits and Duration

The value of the scholarship is £3,500. paid equally over two academic years. The scholarship is tenable for two years only.

Application Procedure and Deadline

Eligible candidates must complete the UCL Keith Wightman Scholarship Application Form, and submit it – along with supporting documents specified in the form – to the UCL Student Funding Office by 31 August during the first year of their programme.

Notification of Results

Successful applicants and reserve candidates can expect to be contacted by UCL in September/October.

Eligibility:
-Be an undergraduate junior or senior level student or pursuing graduate or post-graduate studies.
– Have a declared major in real estate or, if the college has no real estate major, a major in a related field.
-Have a minimum GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale within his or her major. 2. First selection round of candidates by Stenden University Bali will be completed in the first two weeks of July. Shortlisted candidates will receive a notification before July 15th 2011.
3. Interviews with shortlisted candidates are held between July 18th and July 29th. The interview will be held with the General Manager of Stenden University Bali, one member of the academic staff and a manager of a hotel in Indonesia.
4. The final decision will be made on August 1st 2011. All shortlisted candidates, that have had an interview, will receive an answer that same day.

Scholarship Description: Stenden University Bali invited Indonesian students who have excellent study results and motivated to study International Hotel Management in Bali, to get double bachelor’s degree and also full or partial academic scholarships. Stenden University Bali has two types of scholarships for the academic year 2011/2012, both are for at least one academic year. However, if your study results at Stenden University Bali are excellent (full scholarship) or above average (partial scholarship), the scholarship will be extended to the following academic years as well. The scholarships available are: Full scholarship A scholarship that covers the complete tuition fee (of 4600 each year USD) and all other study related costs, such as books and learning materials, equating up to USD24,000 in savings over four years. The applicant should be able to show substantial evidence of superior academic performance and potential to be an outstanding electronic media professional. There should be compelling evidence that the applicant possesses high integrity and a well-articulated sense of personal and professional responsibility.
Scholarship Open for International Students: No
Scholarship Description: BEA is the professional development association for professors, industry professionals and students involved in teaching and research related to radio, television, and other electronic media. BEA administers fourteen scholarships annually, to honor broadcasters and the electronic media profession. The BEA Two Year Award is for study at member schools offering only freshman and sophomore instruction, or for use at a four-year member school by a graduate of a BEA two-year campus. All other scholarships are awarded to juniors, seniors and graduate students at BEA Member institutions. Scholarships will be awarded for full-time degree work FOR THE FULL ACADEMIC YEAR. One semester grants are NOT made. Scholarships must be used exclusively for tuition, student fees, university bookstore course purchases, dormitory and related items eligible to be charged to a student’s official campus account. Current scholarship holders are not eligible for reappointment in the year following their award.
