The Diana Winstanley Bursaries in Business and Law at Kingston University, London

Diana Winstanley bursaries are offered by the Faculty of Business and Law in honour of the contributions to teaching, research, scholarship and practice by Professor Diana Winstanley, who was Director of Postgraduate Programmes within the faculty from 2005 to 2006.
Diana was a great teacher and an inspirational supervisor. Her research made a substantial contribution in many fields, and she was a skilled communicator able to reach and inspire both academics and practitioners in her field of interest which encompassed management development, management learning, human resource management, diversity, business ethics and stakeholder management.
The following bursaries are available for both home/EU and international students:
Two bursaries of £1000 for students starting any postgraduate Business or Law course (excluding the Kingston MBA) in February 2011.
Two bursaries of £1000 for students starting the Kingston MBA in February 2011.
To apply for a Diana Winstanley bursary you must be in possession of a confirmed place on the course. By applying you agree to the University using such details as are necessary and appropriate in publicising the winners of the bursaries.
To apply, the following essay and statement must be submitted via email to mba[at]kingston.ac.uk:
A 1,000 word essay on any of the topics in the sphere of interest of Prof Diana Winstanley, namely: management development, management learning, human resource management, diversity, business ethics and stakeholder management.
A written statement (up to 500 words) on why you are particularly worthy of the bursary
Closing date for applications is:
Courses commencing in January 2011: 30th November.
Courses commencing in February 2011: 4th January.
Essays and statements will be reviewed initially by the relevant Course Directors. The best ones will be submitted to the Director of Postgraduate Programmes who will determine the bursary winners. The decision of the Faculty is final.
